After spending years researching certifications, training programs, and career paths in cybersecurity and IT, it became obvious that many people are paying thousands of dollars for training that often isn’t necessary to pass an exam, build real-world skills, or get hired.
We created this site to help change that.
Our goal is to provide straightforward, honest guidance that helps people make informed decisions about certifications, career paths, and training. Sometimes that means recommending an expensive course because we genuinely believe it’s worth the investment. Other times, it means pointing you toward free or low-cost resources that can teach you just as much.
Our Philosophy
We’re not interested in selling you the most expensive bootcamp or convincing you that every certification is essential.
Instead, we try to answer questions like:
- Is this certification actually worth the money?
- Will employers recognize it?
- Is there a less expensive way to learn the same material?
- What provides the best return on your time and money?
If we can save someone hundreds, or even thousands of dollars while helping them reach the same career goals, we’ve accomplished what we set out to do.
About Our Content
We’re also committed to being transparent.
Much of the content on this website, including text and many of the illustrations, was created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. However, every page is reviewed by a real person before publication, and we continually update and improve our content as we discover mistakes or receive feedback.
The reason for the ai use is simple. I’m 1 person, and I have someone helping me with the website. I don’t want to invest the thousands of dollars into the site that it will need to be spent without the ai. I’m offering this site, and all of the content for free as a labor of love. If you can’t handle some human reviewed ai content for free, I ask that you go somewhere else and pay for what’s probably lower quality.
No website is perfect, and neither are we.
